February

1st February 2023
Look at our lovely Netball team who took part in an Acorn Netball Tournament with other primaries in the trust this week. They played 6 great matches and made us all so proud with their fabulous netball skills and most importantly their good sportsmanship. What wonderful ambassadors for our school.
We really value what the children have to say about our school which is why this week all the children in school have completed our pupil questionnaire. We want to find out what they think about school, what they enjoy doing and what they think could be even better.
Our KS2 children were able to complete this for themselves but our younger school members needed a little support answering the questionnaire.
Winter Class went searching for early signs of Spring! They found buds and flowers and even rabbit holes! Spring is definitely on its way!

Dear Parent/Carer,

We appreciate that this is very last minute, but we have decided to arrange a Non-uniform Day on Friday 10th February to raise money for the Red Cross Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal. I am sure that like us in school you have been moved by the terrible devastation caused by the earthquake earlier this week.

We would like to reach out and help those impacted by this tragedy. Children are welcome to come to school on Friday in their own clothes, and you may donate to the Red Cross’s disaster relief appeal either through the school’s JustGiving page:

or we will collect cash donations in school on Friday.

We appreciate your support with this fundraising effort.

Best wishes, Lindsey Hermon
Early Years and Key Stage One have had a busy few days. Winter class have been celebrating Chinese New Year and enjoying some well-being time whilst Spring Class have been making mustard sandwiches just like Mrs Grinling from The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.
