Wiltshire Girls Cricket Tournament

On Friday 8th June, a team of our Year 5 and 6 girls played in the Wiltshire Girls Cricket Tournament at Trowbridge Cricket Club. The girls played 4 games, winning 1 and losing 3. The team won against Bitham Brook school. The other teams in our group were Bellefield, Holt and Mere. 

The other teams commented on how impressed they were with our girls' ambitious running strategy.

Spring Class Trip to The Egg Theatre
 
On 8th June Spring class went to the Egg Theatre in Bath to see 'One Small Step', a show about space travel. The children enjoyed the performance and seeing a live theatre show.
 
FOKS, our PTA, kindly funded this trip, as part of an initiative to allow each class to go on an art or science trip at least once a year.
 
The Farm Cookery School Trips
 
On 18th and 19th June, each class went to a workshop at The Farm Cookery School in Bromham. The children had a wonderful time and enjoyed learning how to cook different foods from scratch and tasting what they made. 
 
The workshops were part of the school's well being days on 'Keeping Healthy'.  There are some photos below of the children at the cookery school.
 
 
Sports Day
 
The children enjoyed a Sports Day on 20th June. They took part in a range of sporting activities and races to gain points for their House. The winning house this year was Kestrels. 
 
Well done to all the children! 
 
Winter Class Trip
 
On Friday 22nd June Winter Class enjoyed a trip to the Egg Theatre in Bath to see a show called 'Whatever the Weather'.
 
The children enjoyed the performance and seeing a live theatre show.
