Children in Need Cake Competition
Children and their parents/carers made cakes for our Children in Need Cake Competition on 15th November. We had some wonderful cakes which made the task of judging them a difficult one. After much deliberation the winners were:
Key Stage 1
1st Place - Isla Isaac
Joint 2nd & 3rd Place - Shai & Sahara De La Cruz
Key Stage 2
1st Place - Euan Bradford-Scoble
2nd Place - Toby Haythornthwaite
3rd Place - Arwen Dalgleish
And finally the winner of the adult cake was Sarah Bradford-Scoble.
Children were able to buy a cake at break time and a cake sale is being held after school for all children and their parents/carers. All money raised will be donated to Children in Need.
Well done to the winners and thank you to everyone who baked or donated cakes.
Harry Potter Studios Trip
On 7th November Autumn Class went to the Harry Potter Studios in London. The children had an amazing time learning about the history of Harry Potter and exploring the different sets and the props that were used in the eight Harry Potter films. We also got interactive and used the Broom simulators and experienced how Green Screen technology was used in the films; battled Deatheaters in Wand Combat and went for a ride on the Hogwarts Express. The children went through the Forbidden Forest and were attacked by spiders and were able to see the incredible Hogwarts model, which was truly breath taking.
Despite it being a very long day everyone involved had a truly magical day!
Having fun exploring the sets!
