Year 3 Outward Bound Day at Brokerswood.

On Monday 1st October the Year 3 children had a very exciting day! We arrived at school for 8am ready to go to Brokerswood. We canoed together, made our own fires and had a go at archery whilst developing our problem solving and teamwork skills as a year group. It was a really amazing day with lots of tired but smiley children.

Below you will find all sorts of things we have been up to so far this busy year!
In Science we are learning about plants. We have been exploring different plants and their parts including dissecting plants to see their different parts.

As part of our Healthy Eating days at school, we went to The Farm Cookery School in Bromham. We made our own soup and biscuits before sitting down to enjoy it all together. Below are some pictures.
Rocks and Evolution. In January, we visited the Somerset Earth and Science centre and went to a real working quarry. A great educational day was had by all!
Back in terms 1 and 2 we studied the Romans. FOKs kindly funded for us to work with Devizes museum looking at real Roman artefacts. We enjoyed the day investigating a range of items as well as making our own Roman coin and mosaic coaster.
Below you will find some useful information that might help with our learning at home.
